Description

Description

Suppliers of Metrology equipment now have the opportunity to become qualified vendors to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) located in Bradfield.

Project goals

The first stage of our state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) located in Bradfield City Centre, is scheduled to open later this year.

Suppliers of Metrology equipment now have the opportunity to become qualified vendors to the AMRF.

This will enable the AMRF team to develop a robust supply chain to maintain a world class advanced manufacturing facility.

Successful applicants will be on a panel for two years, with an option for a third year extension, for the supply of metrology equipment for the facility.

Scope

For the purposes of this ITR, the term Metrology refers to a product or item that is used for measurement. Metrology items are crucial for the efficiency and functionality of the manufacturing process, but they are not permanent components of the end products. Managing and replenishing Metrology items is integral to maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing operation.

This ITR is centred on establishing a procurement panel for Metrology items. The Metrology category within any manufacturing facility often dictates productivity, safety, and employee satisfaction.

The proposed scope of the Metrology Procurement Panel will include the following (but not limited to):

  • Precision Inspection - Calibration, Gauging, and References
  • Precision Inspection - Contact Measurement Devices
  • Precision Inspection - Non-contact Measurement Devices
  • Precision Inspection – Accessories
  • Materials Testing and Analysis
