Through an Open Market tender, Sydney Trains seeks alignment with the existing technical and operational standards through the engagement of capable and innovative supplier who can deliver a compliant power supply solutions that enhance network resilience.
The SOW included in the tender event outlines the requirements for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of battery-backed 48V DC Power Supply racks within Sydney Trains’ Operational Technology communication rooms.
Operational Technology provides services to business units across the Sydney Trains network, including critical train running services. The power supplies offered under this tender will provide reliable power and battery backup to the devices that provide these services.
Sydney Trains' Major Periodic Maintenance programs refresh a specified number of power supplies, batteries, inverters, and surge reduction filters based on their designated lifespans each financial year. Additionally, there is potential for ad hoc work across other Operational Technology projects to upgrade, replace, or supply new power supplies, depending on each project's specific requirements and any fault rectification carried out by the Asset Management team.
