Project goals

The purposes of the Services are to:

  • Comply with WHS regulations by identifying non-compliances and risks during site audits and reporting back to NSW Ambulance (NSWA) for actioning.
  • Update hazardous building materials registers and risk assessments for each site.
  • Update the overarching NSWA hazardous building materials management plan.
  • Produce a hazardous chemical register for each site, assess compliance and update Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
  • Provide an online portal for public access to registers, SDSs and the hazardous building materials management plan.
  • Manage the online portal, and update registers and the hazardous building materials management plan as required on an annual basis.

This statement of purpose is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the purposes required by this Agreement.

Scope

The Principal Consultant must develop and deliver compliant hazardous building material and chemical reports and registers for approximately 300 NSWA properties, compile up to date SDSs, revise the NSWA hazardous building materials management plan, and develop, manage and implement an online portal to the reports, registers, SDSs and hazardous building materials management plan. The Principal Consultant will update and manage the online portal and data on an annual basis. The service will include desktop reviews, site inspections, sampling, laboratory analysis and documentation in line with the NSW WHS Act 2011 and WHS Reg 2025, and relevant Codes of Practice, standards and guidelines.
