The proposed NAR Solution seeks a technology from the market to regulate and manage road closures.
The NAR Program aims to identify and implement a viable solution to replace the current dated suite of systems used for issuing Road Occupancy Licences (ROL), a core function of the Transport Management Centre (TMC). The program will design, build, implement and maintain a consolidated NAR solution replacing legacy systems whilst leveraging new technologies, to provide our customers value added features and functionality. This modernisation will improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance decision-making through better data collection and reporting capabilities.
The strategy describes the approach in sourcing a solution from the market.
NAR scope includes designing, building, and deploying an integrated solution that supports streamlined workflows, advanced reporting, geospatial capabilities, and automated compliance features, while ensuring interoperability with existing enterprise systems and adherence to cybersecurity and data governance standards. The program will encompass requirements analysis, solution architecture, development, testing, change management, transition to operations and a hyper care period. The delivery timeframes are expected to be set by TfNSW.
This opportunity will be advertised in early 2026 as an Open Tender.
