The scope requirement is to source a Class 1 Ocean Patrol Vessel of like capabilities to replace the current OPV (Nemesis) which is approaching end of operational life.
This EOI is Phase 1 of the project to identify potential suppliers. After evaluation, shortlisted respondents will be asked to participate in an RFT requiring a fully costed comprehensive proposal to be submitted.
Demonstrated ability to Design and Construct a 34m Class 1 Ocean Patrol Vessel
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated large ship building experience, including evidence of providing similar solutions to other organisations or law enforcement agencies within Australia and internationally.
A Vessel Hull based on an existing vessel, noting prototype or development hull designs will not be considered

Capability
Only large vessel builders with 5+ years experience will be considered for inclusion in the Phase 1 EOI process. Respondents must provide adequate evidence that they meet this requirement.
