Forestry Corporation of NSW (FCNSW) is seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors to undertake design and construction of a river crossing and construction of access roads to provide access to FCNSW’s Ridges Softwood Plantation.
FCNSW intends to deliver this in a two-stage EOI and RFT process The river crossing and access roads are separable portions. There is provision for applicants to submit applications for either or both portions.
Indicative pricing is being sought to gauge budget feasibility, shortlisting and risk reduction.
The scope of work under the proposed contract for Separable Portion A includes the design and construction of a new low-level Towamba River crossing approximately 90m in length. The crossing structure is to be a bridge or bridge/culvert composite structure designed to cater for restricted access vehicles used in Forestry operations.
The scope of the work required under Separable Portion B includes the construction of 3.5km of new unsealed all weather access road is required to be constructed from FCNSW existing road network, across Council owned Pericoe Road to the Towamba River crossing point. Works include upgrades to the Pericoe Road intersection
