Powerhouse seeks to procure a comprehensive Digital Experience Platform (DXP) for Powerhouse Parramatta, supporting 2+ million annual visitors across pre-visit, visit, and post-visit touchpoints.

Project goals

The Digital Experience Platform will integrate nine essential digital components including itineraries, ticketing, virtual queuing, wayfinding, notifications, and membership management.

  • Deliver a digital platform operational by September 2026 to align to the Powerhouse Parramatta opening.
  • Support 2+ million annual visitors with a seamless digital experiences across pre-visit, visit, and post-visit touchpoints.
  • Enable personalised visitor journeys for various journey types.
  • Integrate with existing systems including Sanity CMS, Tessitura ticketing, PAM wayfinding, Okta authentication, and Azure infrastructure.
  • Increase data integrity and establish single sources of truth for visitor information.
  • Reduce operational complexity through integrated platform approach.
  • Provide data collection and analytics capabilities for continuous improvement and organisational insights.
  • Establish foundation for digital innovation across all Powerhouse locations.
  • Build the foundation that will enable the use of Gen AI across Powerhouse’s various channels.

Scope

The requirements are broken down to ‘Epics’ (High-level requirements) and ‘User-stories’ (detailed requirements). The successful supplier must establish a process to identify and prioritise features that allow Powerhouse to at least deliver a minimum viable product for September launch. There should then be an ongoing assessment of the feature backlog to continuously improve the experience.
