Operation, Maintenance and Management Services for the Silverwater Landfill Gas Flare and Gas Field, including routine inspections, monitoring, emergency response and environmental reporting.
The primary goal of this project is to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to operate, maintain and manage the Silverwater Landfill Gas Flare and Gas Field in accordance with the NSW EPA Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and regulatory requirements.
The project aims to ensure continuous and safe operation of the landfill gas extraction and flaring system to achieve reliable methane capture and destruction, minimise environmental and public safety risks, and maintain compliance with licence conditions.
Key objectives include achieving high system availability, providing timely emergency response within defined timeframes, maintaining effective monitoring and telemetry, and delivering accurate monthly environmental and performance reporting.
The project also seeks to ensure operational continuity, strong safety and environmental management practices, value for money through competitive market engagement, and protection of TfNSW’s environmental and regulatory reputation.
The scope of this opportunity includes the operation, maintenance and management of the Silverwater Landfill Gas Flare and Gas Field in accordance with the approved Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and NSW EPA requirements.
Services include routine and preventative maintenance, monthly site inspections, landfill gas field balancing, operation and monitoring of the gas flare system, and management of telemetry and remote monitoring systems. The contractor will be required to provide a 24/7 on-call service with emergency response capability within eight (8) hours, including attendance for system faults, alarms or safety incidents.
The scope also includes environmental monitoring, data collection, record keeping and submission of monthly compliance and performance reports, as well as incident reporting, defect rectification and coordination with TfNSW stakeholders.
The contractor must ensure all works are delivered by appropriately qualified and certified personnel in compliance with WHS, environmental, electrical and gas safety requirements.
