This work will be conducted in accordance with the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (NSW EPA) Recovered Aggregate Order 2014 (RRO 2014), Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Order 2014 (RAP 2014) and IPWEA- Specifications for supply of Recycled Material. 2010 (IPWEA Specs).
Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for sampling and testing of recovered aggregate. This work will be conducted in accordance with the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (NSW EPA) Recovered Aggregate Order 2014 (RRO 2014), Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Order 2014 (RAP 2014) and IPWEA- Specifications for supply of Recycled Material. 2010 (IPWEA Specs).
Council receives a significant volume of concrete, asphalt, pavers, and bricks from its construction and demolition projects. To maximise resource utilisation and environmental sustainability, the material is processed into Class R2 Road Base (IPWEA Specs).
This recovered aggregate/asphalt is primarily intended for use as road material or backfilling as per the exemption.
This RFT is initiated to validate the quality and compliance of this material in accordance with the RRO 2014, RAP 2014 and IPWEA 2010, ensuring it meets the specified standards and regulatory requirements for safe and effective utilisation in road construction and other relevant applications as per the exemption.
