The Memorial is seeking a contractor to deliver the final building works for the Project. The aim of this procurement is to select a Construction Contractor to deliver the work to complete the Main Building (Contract). The work is described in Schedule 1 - Project and Scope Brief and is primarily at the northern end of the Main Building and includes staff facilities and the preparation for fit-out of areas that are being converted from back of house to galleries. The work includes four distinct scope areas: (a) Scope Area 1 - Hall of Valour; (b) Scope Area 2 - Central Gallery; (c) Scope Area 3 - Education and Staff Areas; and (d) Scope Area 4 - Humanitarian Galleries 1 and 2.

Industry briefing and Site Walk The Memorial will hold an industry briefing for Respondents to clarify the Memorial’s objectives and priorities for this REOI and to respond to questions arising out of this REOI process. The Industry Briefing will be undertaken via MSTeams videoconference. Respondents must pre-register their attendance at the industry briefing with the Contact Officer no later than 5:00pm (Canberra, ACT, local time) on 19 January 2026. Attendance at the industry briefing will be at the Respondent’s own cost. Attendance at the industry briefing is strongly recommended to ensure that Respondents have a sound understanding of the project conditions and procurement approach. The industry briefing details are as follows: Date: 20 January 2026 Location: MS Teams Time: 2pm Respondents are to advise by 5pm, 19 January 2026 of the email addresses of the participants. On the morning of 20 January 2026, the Memorial will send invites to all nominated emails. There is no limit on the number of representatives per Respondent. The Memorial may change the date, location and/or time of the industry briefing at its absolute discretion, by issuing an addendum in accordance with clause 1.5 (Addenda and notices). Respondents must not rely on a statement made at the industry briefing as amending or adding to this REOI unless that amendment or addition is confirmed by the Memorial in accordance with clause 1.4 (Addenda and notices).
The Works are expected to commence in May 2026 and be completed by end December 2026 (TBC).
