This Approach to Market (ATM) seeks to identify the services of suitably qualified provider(s) to supply and manage seafarer medical examinations for the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Certificate of Medical Fitness in Australia, on AMSA’s behalf. AMSA is also responsible for issuing the International Convention Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Certificate of Medical Fitness in Australia. Seafarers who hold a certificate issued under the Navigation Act 2012 and licensed coastal pilots are required to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness in accordance with Marine Order 76 (Health – medical fitness) 2017 (MO76).
The Conditions for Participations for this ATM are: (a) Assessing Doctors are to be certified under the Medical Board of Australia (b) Service Provider/s are to be accredited under the appropriate medical regulatory framework for their state or territory.
