Project goals

This is a supply and install procurement to design, supply and install a new flushing and pump out toilet system at Kyeamba SB rest area with disability access including new water tank and septic system. Project also involved, build two new picnic sheds, improve lighting and upgrade drainage system and construction of a retaining wall with landscaping in the surroundings.

Scope

The site currently has a pull off rest area but no facilities other than bins. Southbound rest area users tend to cross the road to use toilet facilities in the northbound rest area. There is no pedestrian crossing facility, so the crossing is very dangerous in high speed environment. Following extensive analysis about the types of systems available and being used in other regions, it has been determined that a fully flushing toilet system that requires regular pump out of the septic system would be the most suitable system for Kyeamba Southbound Rest Area.

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors to carry out the design, supply and install a new flushing and pump out toilet system at Kyeamba SB rest area with disability access including new water tank and septic system. Project also involves; to build two new picnic sheds, improve lighting and upgrade drainage system and construction of a retaining wall with landscaping in the surroundings.

A pre-tender meeting will be held at Holbrook Depot (https://maps.app.goo.gl/2dPMSV2dAkyKjDAv9) at 11:00 am on Thursday 11 December 2025. Attendance at the pre-tender meeting is mandatory to submit a conforming tender.

Please confirm your attendance at the pre-tender meeting and site inspection by COB, Wednesday 10 December 2025 by sending an email with attendee details to Andrew.Milne5@transport.nsw.gov.au with subject line “Pre-Tender Meeting attendance confirmation 25.0000129145.1178.”
